     In 1959, the Tibetan Refugee Self-Help Centre was established in order to rehabilitate the displaced Tibetans who had followed the Dalai Lama to India earlier that year. A wide range of Tibetan arts and crafts are on display at the Centre.  The highly skilled and creative individuals of the Centre produce striking wool carpets, jackets, leather coats, shawls and carved wood furniture.
