I would first off like to thank you for visiting my site. My main purpose of creating this web page was to share my remarkable travel experiences with people around the
world. India is a vast country, rich in tradition and cultural diversity. Through personal observations and a varied selection of photographs, I hope visitors will be entertained
as well as informed - at least on some basic level - of the complexity, history and most of all, beauty, of India.
In November and December 2000, I spent 3 weeks travelling through Rajasthan and West Bengal. While travelling through Rajasthan - the ancient
state of kings and castles - I visited 6 cities: Jaipur, Chittorgarh, Udaipur, Ranakpur, Ajmer and Pushkar. In West Bengal, I spent 5 days in Darjeeling,
a city high up in the mountains, neighbouring the majestic Himalayan range. I also visited Mother Teresa’s Missionaries of Charity in Calcutta, where I volunteered as an Aunty in 1996. I also had the unique opportunity of visiting
and assisting with a Free Eye Camp in a remote village outside of Calcutta (Hamiragachi), where 500+ villagers were screened for cataracts.
