Another temple on the Chittor Fort premises.

Victory Tower (Vijay Stambh; right), is a fascinating monument, 37m (120 ft, 9 stories) high. It was built by Maharana Kumbha in 1440 to commemorate his great victory over the Muslim rulers of Malwa & Gurarat.

Left:  It was 5:00pm and I was relaxing at the front gate of the Fort. Or I should say, catching my breath, after a long day of touring the vast fortress. Right: A Texan in Chittorgarh?!  Chris taking in the enchanting atmosphere surrounding the fort.
